Security operatives have repelled an attack by bandits in Zakka community in Safana LGA of Katsina state.
Kaula Muhammad, chief press secretary to Dikko Radda, governor of Katsina, announced the development in a statement on Saturday.
Muhammad said the Katsina governor was also in the Safana LGA to inaugurate an empowerment programme sponsored by Abduljalal Runka, deputy speaker of the state house of assembly, when a distress call of the attack was received.
The chief press secretary said after receiving the intelligence report, the governor immediately called off the programme.
