Segun Adewale, a former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, says he is dumping the party to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to NAN, Adewale, popularly known as Aeroland, announced his defection at a press conference on Saturday in Lagos.
He said the move is inspired by his resolve to “support the president”, and his next action will be “to go to Abuja and prostrate to Tinubu”.
Aeroland had been suspended by PDP for allegedly causing disaffection in the party and tarnishing its image.

Speaking on the suspension, Adewale said the decision was orchestrated by those fighting him for exposing the mismanagement of the party’s campaign funds during the 2023 election.
He added that “these same elements being used would act unconstitutionally by suspending me from the party when they do not have such powers”.
“They said because of that, I should be suspended and I told them to come to my ward to suspend me so I can join the APC,” he said.

“What am I even doing in the party? I spent millions during the elections, but it wasn’t worth it.
“I am not even in PDP anymore because I have seen it all, and I would not have stayed in PDP till now but for Atiku Abubakar, who begged me to contest in 2023.”
