The senate has confirmed Ahmed Kuru as the managing director of Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) for a second term in office.

Kuru’s nomination was confirmed after a report was presented by Uba Sani, chairman of the committee on banking, insurance and other financial institutions, on Wednesday, in plenary.

In December, President Muhammadu Buhari reappointed Kuru for a final term of five years. The president had based his request on section 10(1) of AMCON act of 2010.

While presenting his report, Sani said Kuru met all the requirements expected of him.
