‘Seven terrorists killed’ as army, DSS respond to distress call in Sokoto

Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji in collaboration with the Department of State Services (DSS) have reportedly killed seven suspected terrorists in Madachi, Isa LGA of Sokoto state.

Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication focused on the Lake Chad region, reports that the suspects were killed after the troops and DSS operatives responded to a distress call.

The personnel reportedly received intelligence that over 40 bandits on motorcycles were headed for Madachi.

During the interception, a number of the suspects reportedly escaped with gunshot wounds to hideouts around Shinkafi.

Seven AK 47 rifles, four motorcycles, and four cutlasses were recovered during the encounter.
