Shagaya, Shobanjo speak at Konga’s sellers’ summit

Online mall Konga has confirmed that Biodun Shobanjo, chairman of Troyka Holdings Limited and Sim Shagaya (pictured), chief executive officer of Konga, will be speaking at the Konga 2015 Sellers Summit slated to hold on Saturday October 17, 2015 at Eko Hotel & Suites.

Other speakers are CEO of Jobberman, Awoyemi Opeyemi; CEO of X3M Ideas, Steve Babaeko, Google Nigeria country manager, Ebi Atawodi; and managing director, Anglophone Africa, DHL, Randy Buday.

Among the lead discussants for the panel sessions are Chude Jdeonwo, managing partner, Red Media Africa & Social Commentator; Tomi Ogunlesi, group corporate brand manager, Interswitch; and Kabir Shagaya, managing director, Zippy Logistics.

Shobanjo will be speaking on the topic, ‘Internet & Ecommerce Revolution in Nigeria: Where We’ve Been, Where We’re Heading & How to Get There’. He was awarded the Most Influential Personality in Advertising in Africa award at the 2014 African Development Magazine (ADM) Award of Excellence in Development in November 2014 in Accra, Ghana.

Named by Forbes as one of Africa’s 30 best entrepreneurs under 30, Chude Jideonwo managing partner at Red Media Africa, which owns brands including ‘The Future Africa Awards Africa’, and Y! Africa and YNaija.com. His career sits at the intersection between media, business and governance, deploying the media as an active tool in galvanising a generation of Africans to action. In October 2014, he was named CNBC All Africa Young Business Leader of the Year.

Ogunlesi is a consummate integrated marketing communications professional with experience and competence spanning strategic brand management, integrated marketing, idea leadership and business strategy across diverse boundaries spanning fast-moving consumer goods, technology, financial services and aviation sectors across the Nigerian and South African markets.

She was selected from Nigeria as one of 30 brand managers to feature in the inaugural stream of the acclaimed Wunderman Young Marketers’ School at the 6th Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity in the UAE.

The 2015 Sellers Summit tagged, ‘The New Marketplace: Tapping into the Ecosystem’, will provide a platform for SME owners to learn business growth strategies. They would also have the unique chance to network and share ideas on tapping into the country’s growing e-commerce ecosystem.

“The Sellers’ Summit is set to be Nigeria’s biggest entrepreneur Summit in recent times; with a lineup of presentations and panel discussions by top acclaimed speakers and experts from different relevant business fields,” Olatomiwa Akande, head of PR and communications for Konga, said.
