Uba Sani, Kaduna state governor, has received the commendation of Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau, the national chairman of Jamatu Izalatil Bida Ikamatus Sunna (JIBWIS).
Lau praised the governor for his “long-time commitment to Islamic propagation”.
The cleric commended the governor when JIBWIS held its annual preaching in Zaria.
The group announced its intention to support the education of underprivileged children in courses such as medicine and engineering.

The association also said it intends to produce 455 medical doctors in Kaduna in the next four years by supporting worshippers who throng its mosques.
“Your Excellency, there was never a time when our national body’s request was turned down,” Lau said.
“I am yours, Sir. We will never forget your kindness. We pray that the Almighty God will bless you.”

The group also expressed its condolences on the bomb mishap in Tudun Biri town. It said it has sympathised with the governor, the emir of Zazzau and the people of Kaduna state.
Lau prayed for the governor to have a successful tenure.
JIBWIS national preaching is an annual event organised in Nigeria to deal with the issues affecting the Muslim Ummah. The event is also graced by people from neighbouring countries.
