‘She’s the ideal candidate’ — coalition endorses Nkechi Balogun for NIPR president

The Alliance of Frontline Public Relations professionals says Nkechi Balogun is the ideal candidate to become the national president of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

In a statement on Saturday, the alliance, a coalition of leaders in the PR industry, said the institute needs a president with a deep understanding of the privileges and problems of the profession.

The alliance comprises 22 professionals from various PR firms.

The 2023 annual general meeting and election of new executive members of the NIPR will be held between August 23 and 25 in Abuja.

Balogun, a fellow of the institute and former chairperson of the Lagos state charter of the NIPR, is contesting the position of president against Ike Neliaku, chief executive and vice chairman of Rightangle PR.

“Her track record of accomplishments, strategic insights, and commitment to raising the standards of PR has earned her the unwavering support of this influential coalition,” the statement reads.

“NAB is a multi-talented luminary within Africa’s PR industry, boasting a wealth of experience spanning more than two decades across diverse facets of the public relations and training consultancy landscape.”
