Shamsudeen Usman, ministry of finance incorporated (MOFI) board chair, will launch a book on policy dynamics in Abuja on September 26.

In a statement on Monday, Etim Etim, chair of the media sub committee for the launch, said governors, members of the national assembly and first class monarchs will grace the occasion.

He said Vice-President Kashim Shettima will serve as the special guest of honour, former President Goodluck Jonathan will chair the occasion, while former Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo is expected to also grace the event.

Etim described the book titled: ‘Public Policy and Agent Interests: Perspectives from the emerging world’, as a unique publication on growth and development in emerging economies.

“The book provides a fascinating and penetrating insight into the workings of government and the boardroom, in terms of policy formulation and implementation, economic management as well as the overall growth paradigm in the developing world, with Nigeria as a case study,” Etim said.

“It is also an account of the interactions between the government, its agencies, and the private sector and how such engagements impact national growth, investments, and the overall performance of the economy.”

The event will also witness the formal unveiling of the Shamsuddeen Usman Foundation (SUF) founded and registered by his children in his honour and dedicated to the promotion of education in the country.
