Kashim Shettima, the vice-president-elect, has mourned the death of two supporters who died in a car accident after paying him a congratulatory visit in Abuja.
TheCable understands that the two supporters died while returning from Abuja along the Jos-Bauchi axis.
They have been identified as Iliyasu and Mallam Nuhu.
The Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Bola Tinubu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Shettima, his running mate, as winners of the presidential election on March 1.

They are expected to be sworn in on May 29.
Reacting to the incident, Shettima said he was deeply pained by their deaths, praying for comfort for their family and loved ones.
“I have just been notified of the death of two great supporters and dedicated stalwarts, Hons. Iliyasu and Mallam Nuhu died in a fatal accident while returning to their abode from Abuja,” Shettima said.
