Siasia invites five more players to camp

Nigeria’s U-23 coach, Samson Siasia, has invited five more players to the team’s camp ahead of the return leg of the African U-23 Championship final qualifying match against Congo.
The invited players are foreign-based Aminu Umar and Abdullahi Shehu, Semiu Liadi of Warri Wolves, Ndifreke Effiong of Abia Warriors and Flying Eagles’ midfielder Kingsley Sokari.
Siasia said the players were invited to add bite to the team’s attack and solidify the defence as they intensify preparations for the return leg in Pointe Noire on Sunday, August 2.
The home-based players are expected to report to camp immediately while those based abroad are expected in camp by this weekend.
