Nigeria’s U-23 coach, Samson Siasia, has equated his team to orphans because of the treatment they are getting from the Nigeria Football Federation.
According to the former Super Eagles striker, the Dream Team are currently going through a nightmarish condition as they prepare for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
“We are like orphans. People see the finished product, but they don’t know what we pass through,” Siasia told Brila FM on Wednesday.
“We have not been paid for the past three months. It took me so much courage to come out with this, but it is embarrassing. We don’t have training kits up till now, we wash and wear.

“The Super Eagles got extra bonus for playing a draw and qualifying for the African Nations Championships and they keep saying there is no money.
“The NFF know exactly what to do. We have weeks just before our first game. We are liars in this country. The NFF keeps telling us there is no money. We can’t just sit here, be quiet and die.
“Whatever happens I should not be held responsible, I thought the Olympics was important to them.”

Siasia recently invited 51 players to camp in preparation for the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations holding in Senegal from November 28 to December 12, 2015.
