Simy, Ezenwa return as Rohr submits provisional squad list for Cameroon friendly

Gernot Rohr, Super Eagles coach, has included Crotone’s Simy Nwankwo and Katsina United’s Ikechukwu Ezenwa in his 31-man provisional squad for next month’s international friendly match against Cameroon.

The list, which was released on Friday, also includes William Troost-Ekong, Chiedozie Awazien, and Kenneth Omeruo.

Others are Maduka Okoye, Leon Balogun, Olaoluwa Aina, Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, and Victor Osimhen in the list containing four goalkeepers, nine defenders, five midfielders, and thirteen forwards.

Abraham Marcus of CD Feirense of Portugal and Terem Moffi of FC Lorient will be joining the senior side for the first time.

The provisional list, which will be pruned down to 23 before the Super Eagles fly to Vienna for the clash with the Indomitable Lions, saw Simy and Ezenwa made a return to the team.

The Gernot Rohr’s boys will lock horns with the five-time African champions on June 4 at the Wiener Neustadt in Vienna, Austria.

The match will kick off at 8:30pm Austrian time.
