Sirika: Lagos int’l airport runway will be ready before April ends

Hadi Sirika, minister of aviation, says the runway 18R at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos, would be operational soon.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) had closed runways 18R and 36L in the airport for maintenance work.

The agency had said work on the runways would span for eight weeks.

FAAN also assured that normal airline operations would not be affected, as the taxiway B-18L would be used for all flight operations.
