Chukwuma Soludo, governor of Anambra state, has approved the appointment of Justina Anyadiegwu as the new provost of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe.
Announcing the appointment in a statement on Tuesday, Christian Aburime, press secretary to the governor, said Soludo wished Anyadiegwu success as she assumes her new responsibilities.
The statement added that Anyadiegwu’s appointment reflects the commitment of the Soludo administration to promoting meritocracy and fostering the continued development of educational institutions in Anambra.
Anyadiegwu was a senior lecturer at Nwafor Orizu College of Education and succeeds Anwuluorah Ogugua Patricia as provost of the 48-year-old institution.

The government said the appointments were based on merit and followed a “meticulous and transparent” process.
