President Bola Tinubu will reappoint Mele Kyari as the group chief executive officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, TheCable understands.
According to sources, Kyari retained his position as NNPC chief, while Pius Akinyeleru was appointed as non-executive chairman.
NNPC management has been going through changes after Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan was appointed as executive vice-president, upstream in September.
Also, Olalekan Ogunleye was appointed as the executive vice-president, gas, and new energy; and Adedapo Segun, executive vice-president, downstream.

The announcement of the new board appointments is expected any time soon.
