Ahmed Musa, Super Eagles captain, has been spotted training with Kano Pillars ahead of the team’s forthcoming Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) game.

Musa was at the training alongside Shehu Abdullahi as Pillars geared up for their NPFL home fixture against Sunshine Stars of Akure.

According to the video on the club’s X page, the players could be seen training with the rest of the squad on a rough pitch on Thursday.

However, the club is yet to formally announce the acquisition of Musa for his potential third spell at the club.

Last month, Musa had hinted at a return to the league in a social media post. The 31-year-old has been without a club since leaving Sivasspor at the end of last season.

He had previously played for the Sai Masu Gida side in 2010 before his first foray into Europe. Musa also returned to the club triumphantly in 2021 for a brief spell.

Abdullahi also played for Pillars in 2012 and has been without a club since he left Levski Sofia in 2023.

Pillars are reestablishing themselves in the league after a dramatic relegation in 2023. The team is third on the NPFL table with four points from four games.
