Stallion Group offers free meals, staff buses to govt-run COVID-19 hospitals

Stallion Group has pledged to provide state government run hospitals that are designated for COVID- 19 treatment with fish and rice for three months.

The Dubai-headquartered multi-industry firm also promise to provide staff buses to the five Lagos hospitals looking after COVID – 19 cases for three months.

Stallion Empowerment Initiative, the philanthropic arm of the Stallion Group, disclosed the content of the company’s pledge on Sunday, just as Nigeria’s coronavirus cases had soared to 97.

It said locally produced rice and fish would be supplied to these facilities on a national scale alongside drivers and fuel to be deployed towards getting the Lagos buses running.

This arrangement, the company said, would help ensure safer and comfortable transportation of health care workers who are in the frontline of the fight against the virus.

“These are exceptionally difficult times and urgent emergency resources have to be deployed to cope with the needs of affected states and support their health care systems,” Anant Badjatya, Stallion Group CEO, said.

“At Stallion Group our top priority is the health and safety of our employees, customers, and our community.

“There is nothing greater than the safety of the people of this country and it’s our responsibility to support the government and the community in this time of need.

“We are deeply grateful to every health care worker and persons who have risked their lives to fight this pandemic and will continue to support them.”
