Uba Sani to Shehu Sani: Stop your political tantrums and grow up

Uba Sani, special adviser to Nasir el-Rufai, governor of Kaduna on political matters, has warned Shehu Sani not to blame the state government for his woes.

Sani, who is representing Kaduna central at the senate and is a staunch critic of the governor, was suspended indefinitely by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state for “illegalities against the party”, following an initial 11-month suspension.

The senator described his suspension as “worthless” and “useless”, saying that: “The new suspension will not give them the public support they could not gather with the first one.”

But in a statement on Saturday, el-Rufai’s aide told the senator to “grow up” and “stop his “political tantrums”.

“The embattled senator, who is reeling from the extension of his suspension from the APC, should desist from blaming his woes on the state government,” the statement read.

“It has become imperative to set the record straight. Everyone knows that it is Shehu Sani that has spent 18 months attacking the governor personally and opposing every government policy.

“The government has ignored his tantrums, while the party has acted to uphold discipline. Shehu Sani should keep the government out of his woes.
