Tajudeen Abbas, a member of the house of representatives, has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing Femi Gbajabiamila as chief of staff.
Gbajabiamila was appointed to the position on Friday and will assume office on June 14.
In a statement by his media office, Abbas, who is a speakership hopeful, said Gbajabiamila has the capacity and competence to handle any national assignment.
The legislator, who represents Zaria federal constituency of Kaduna, said Gbajabiamila‘s two decades of parliamentary experience will help him excel as chief of staff.

“To me, this is one appointment that has shown that Mr President is not only strategic in his thinking but also sagacious in his leadership,” the statement reads.
“I know that the Chief of Staff to the President will work assiduously with Mr President to make Nigeria great.”
Similarly, Adejoro Adeogun, deputy chairman of the house committee on national intelligence, has congratulated Gbanabiamila on his appointment.

Adeogun, who represents Akoko south-east and south-west federal constituency of Ondo, said Gbajabiamila “earned” the appointment through “proven outstanding leadership”.
“You are unarguably one of the most passionate leaders in public service across the world, and absolutely the best fit for this job,” he said.
