A security officer at the Kaiga Ngouboua base in the Lake Chad region has confirmed that two suicide bombers blew themselves up outside a Chadian army camp on Wednesday.
The source said the bombers tried to get into the camp, but after they were pushed back by the guard, they detonated the bombs at the entrance.
The officer said that a suspected accomplice was arrested by the officers at the base, while nobody, save the bombers, were killed.
The identity of the masterminds was not immediately clear, but Boko Haram is known to occasionally launch attacks in countries whose soldiers have been lennding help to Nigeria’s war against insurgency.
