Two suspected female suicide bombers detonated explosives at Sabon Gari market in Damboa local government area of Borno state on Tuesday, killing three persons
Aderemi Opadokun, commissioner of police in the state, disclosed this in an interview with NAN in Maiduguri, capital of the state.
Opadokun said that five other persons were also injured in the incident, which occurred at about 11am
He said that the explosives were strapped to their bodies.

Suspected Boko Haram insurgents have intensified suicide attacks since the military succeeded in preventing them from seizing territories.
Twenty-five persons, including a two-year-old were killed during an attack in the Sabon Gari, Zaria area of Kaduna state in the early hours of Tuesday.
A blast also killed a female teenage suicide bomber in Kano on Monday night, while 48 persons have been confirmed dead in the Jos blasts of Sunday – in addition to six deaths in Potiskum, Yobe state, same day.
