Sunshine Stars beat Akwa United 3-1 at the Akure Stadium to claim top spot in the Glo Premier League after Wednesday’s matches.

Enyimba were 2-0 up after 36 minutes through goals from Ifeanyi George and Christian Obiozor before Olufemi Oladapo reduced the tally before the break.
Markson Ojobo scored from the spot in the 77th minute as Enyimba restored their two-goal lead to go 3-1 up. A late goal from Dare Ojo proved too little, too late for the hosts.
Wikki Tourists failed to hold on to their top spot in the league after they failed to hold on to their 1-0 lead against Giwa FC.

Mustapha Ibrahim gave them the lead in the 55th minute with a screaming effort, but Ibrahim Shuaibu equalised for Giwa FC 20 minutes before full time.
