The Super Eagles of Nigeria have returned to the country following their second-round elimination by France at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Nigeria, who played four matches in the World Cup, touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja on Friday.
The team were led by the head coach, Stephen Keshi.
The embattled coach said the team would have loved to progress beyond the second round of the competition, but expressed gratitude to God for the outing in Brazil.

Keshi quelled media reports of his resignation immediately after the World Cup, and confirmed that he has been offered a new contract by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
However, he said he was unsure if he would accept the offer or not.
