Super Eagles beat Niger in Port Harcourt friendly match

The Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated Les Mena of Niger 2-0 in an international friendly played at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.

In Sunday Oliseh’s second match as the team’s coach Ahmed Musa and Moses Simon found the net in each half to record a first win for the new coach.

Oliseh made six changes from the side that played a goalless draw with Tanzania on Saturday after including Godfrey Oboabona, Chima Akas, Rabiu Ibrahim, Usman Mohammed, Sylvester Igbonu and Anthony Ujah in the starting-eleven.

And it took just 12 minutes for the Eagles to score after Issiakou Koudize fell Ujah in the box for a penalty. Captain Musa made no mistake from the spot.

Nigeria had to wait till the 85th minute to make it 2-0, though, after Simon capitalised on defensive mix up to fire a shoot into the roof of the net.
