Super Eagles, Lions of Teranga lock horns in London

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will on Thursday play Senegal in a friendly match in London.

The friendly match is in preparation for the all important 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against African champions, Cameroon.

The Lions of Teranga and the Eagles have met twenty times since their first encounter on February 27, 1963 in the Kwame Nkruma Cup.

Nigeria has won nine times, lost six times and drawn five of those encounters with Senegal.

In all their meetings, the Super Eagles have scored a total of 26 goals to Senegal’s 22 goals.
