The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that the Super Eagles will play Mexico in an exhibition match on May 28.
The federation announced the friendly game in a post on its verified Twitter account on Tuesday.
The match will take place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, with the kick-off time yet to be announced.
“We will face the El Tri of Mexico in an international friendly game on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at the AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas,” the tweet read.

The match will serve as preparation ahead of the Qatar 2022 World Cup for the El Tri. They are in Group C alongside Argentina, Poland and Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, the Eagles, who missed out on the Mundial, will be using the match to achieve rejigging ahead of the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers billed to commence in June.
The match will be the seventh encounter between the senior teams of Nigeria and Mexico, four of which have ended in draws.
The most recent game was a resounding 4-0 mauling of Nigeria by El Tri at the Memorial Coliseum Stadium in Los Angeles, California, in July 2021.
