Super Falcons lead Africa Women’s best 10

Despite not qualifying for the 2016 Olympics, Super Falcons of Nigeria topped the list of Africa’s best women national team.

In the latest ranking released by FIFA on Friday, the team grossed a total 1602 points to stay ahead of Cameroon, Ghana, Equatorial Guinea and South Africa – Africa’s representative at the Olympics.

The last time the nine-time AWC champions performed remarkably well was in 2014 when they won the last continental title.

They finished last in group D at the last FIFA Women World Cup in Canada and failed to reach Rio 2016.
