The Super Sand Eagles defeated Libya 6-3 to brighten their chance of a place in the semi-final of the Beach Soccer African Cup of Nations.
The two-time African champions had lost their opening game via a penalty shootout to Senegal after both teams were inseparable at 4-4.
Emeka Ogbonna scored two of the goals while Abu Azeez, a top player in the Nigerian side, also netted a brace. Emmanuel Ohwoferia and Suleiman Ogodo got one goal each.
Debutants Tanzania will square up against Nigeria in the semi-final on Monday.

Coach Audu ‘Ejo’ Adamu is likely to throw another top player, Victor Tale, into the fray when his team faces the East Africans for a place in the last four.
The two finalists at the tournament will represent Africa at the 2019 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Paraguay.
