Nigeria beach soccer team, the Supersand Eagles, lost 6-5 to Senegal in the first semi-final of the Power Horse invitational beach soccer tournament in Durban, South Africa on Saturday.
Victor Talle scored four goals, while Abu Azeez scored a goal to take his tally to four following his hat-trick against Ghana in the 5-2 win on Friday but Senegal scored a last minute winner to qualify for the final.
It was a keenly-contested affair as the Senegalese, who edged Mozambique 4-2 also on Friday, challenged the Nigerians every inch on the beach, and the first third ended 1-1.
Talle scored a brace but then, unfortunately, scored an own goal.
