The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the election of Rochas Okorocha, governor of Imo state, dismissing the appeal filed by Emeka Ihedioha.
Ihedioha was candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the April 11 election.
He had challenged Okorocha’s victory at the tribunal but lost and approached the appeal court, where he still failed in the bid to unseat Okorocha.
In its judgment on Thursday, the seven-man panel of the Supreme Court presided over by John Fabiyi, a justice, held that Ihedioha’s appeal lacked merit.
