Hamza Abdullahi-Elenwo, an inspector with the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), has died after a suspected smuggler’s vehicle knocked him down.
The incident took place on Friday during a stop-and-search at Achilafia along the Daura-Kano road in Jigawa state.
