Swarovski Nigeria recently concluded a successful three-day tour with its global partners, visiting key stores across Lagos and Abuja from September 16th to 18th, 2024. The visit celebrated the brand’s epanding presence in Nigeria and featured the official unveiling of the Swarovski store at Palms Mall, Lagos.
A standout moment during the visit was the introduction of two new brand influencers—Enioluwa Adeoluwa and Efe Irele. Both influencers bring unique voices and strong connections to Swarovski’s Nigerian audience, reflecting the brand’s commitment to collaborating with individuals who embody style, elegance, and modern luxury.
The tour began with a press conference at the Palms Mall store in Lagos, attracting major media outlets and generating extensive coverage of Swarovski’s latest products and strategic initiatives. The event marked the store’s official unveiling as a cornerstone of Swarovski’s luxury retail offering in Nigeria. On September 17th, the team visited the Jabi Mall store in Abuja to explore further expansion opportunities, followed by the final stop at the Ikeja City Mall store on September 18th, further solidifying Swarovski’s presence in the Nigerian market.
Reflecting on the importance of the visit, Jonathan Minter, Regional Sales Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa at Swarovski, said, “Nigeria is a key market in Swarovski’s African expansion strategy. With a growing middle and upper class, our goal is to blend Swarovski’s global heritage with localized marketing to make it a leading brand in Nigeria.”
Chika Nnadozie, Head of Marketing at Polo Limited, highlighted Swarovski’s global reputation for its crystals, gemstones, jewellery, and accessories, and shared insights into the brand’s strategic direction in Nigeria. “Our promotional efforts will include targeted in-store activations, influencer collaborations, and digital campaigns, all carefully designed to resonate with the Nigerian audience. By partnering with Enioluwa Adeoluwa and Efe Irele, we aim to strengthen Swarovski’s cultural relevance and connection with the local market.”
Olamoniso Nduka, Head of Business Development at Polo Limited addressed media questions on sustainability, stating that “Swarovski leads the charge amongst other global jewellery players in sustainability with responsible sourcing and ethical practices. In Nigeria, we are committed to partnerships that align with these values and support local communities.”
He also discussed currency fluctuation concerns, stressing that localized pricing strategies have been implemented to ensure affordability without compromising on quality across the various socio-economic classes in society.
In addition to celebrating the present, the visit featured strategic discussions on the future of Swarovski in Nigeria, including plans for new product launches and innovative retail experiences.
