Nigerians react as EFCC describes top officials of the commission as ‘Magu boys’

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has come under criticisms on social media for tagging some of its operatives as ‘Magu boys’.

In a tweet on Thursday night, the anti-graft agency shared a photo of Mohammed Rabo, head of EFCC operations in Lagos state, and some other agents.

In the tweet, the agency said the operatives were on the move to ‘tame’ the ‘corruption monster’ in Lagos, and that with Ibrahim Magu, acting chairman of the EFCC, “giving orders and directing affairs, the war is winnable”.

“#Photo Magu Boys, led by EFCC’s Lagos Head of Operations, Mohammed Rabo, on the move as they continue to tame the corruption monster from the Lagos axis of the battlefield. With the acting Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, giving orders and directing affairs, the war is winnable,” the tweet read.
