An uncle of former Bayelsa governor Timipre Sylva was kidnapped in the early hours of Monday by gunmen.
Chief Benson Ayerite Adigio-Eseni, 86, was seized by the men armed with AK-47 rifles at his Okpoama residence in Brass LGA of Bayelsa state.
An aide to Sylva said the gunmen came in a speed boat around 1am shooting into the air before whisking the man away.
He said the kidnappers were yet to contact the family.
