President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, ordered the probe of Alex Badeh, Adesola Amosu, Sambo Dasuki and some other members of the office of the national security adviser and the Nigerian Airforce.
The probe was based on a report of a committee set up to look into arms procurement and military equipment in the country from 2007 to 2015, with a visibly greater attention on 2014 to 2015, when Badeh was the chief of defence staff.
The committee, in its report, said it discovered that N643 billion and $2.1 billion were received for defence procurements by the defence headquarters and the services between 2007 and 2015.
The committee also established that N29 billion and $2 billion has been spent on procurement activities by the Airforce in the same frame of time.
