Tambuwal appoints Imam spokesperson

Aminu Tambuwal, governor of Sokoto state, has appointed Imam Imam (pictured), a former group politics editor of Thisday newspaper, as his special adviser on media and public affairs.

Imam served Tambuwal as spokesman between 2011 and 2015 when he was the speaker.

Tambuwal admonished his spokesman to rededicate himself to his new assignment by contributing positively to information management flow in the state.

Imam obtained higher national diploma (HND) in mass communication from Kaduna Polytechnic and read development studies at post graduate level in Bayero University, Kano.

He started his journalism career in the new-rested Millennium Weeklynewspaper in Kaduna in 2000 and joined the New Nigerian Newspapers also in Kaduna in 2002.

He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) and a Graduate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
