Aminu Tambuwal, governor of Sokoto state, has dissolved governing boards of government parastatals, agencies and departments in the state.
Imam Imam, special adviser to the governor on media and public affairs, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday.
He said the dissolution does not affect agencies whose tenures are guaranteed by the constitution of the country or extant laws of the state government.
“In line with established tradition and precedents, and with the coming into office of the new administration in Sokoto state, members of the public are hereby notified that all governing boards of government departments, agencies and parastatals, except those whose tenures are guaranteed by the constitution and the extant laws, do hereby stand dissolved,” the statement read.

“The state government thanks all those individuals for the services rendered to the state.
“Accordingly, accounting officers in the affected establishment should ensure proper handing over of government offices and properties.”
