The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) have postponed the start of the 2015/2016 league season because of Nigeria.
The Taifa Stars, with the majority of the players plying their trade at home, host the Super Eagles in the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier between September 4th and 6th at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The new league season was initially scheduled to commence on August 22 but according to local reports, the TFF have now postponed the resumption to September 12, to pave the way for the AFCON tie.
Tanzania need to win the match after starting the qualifying campaign with a 3-0 loss to the Pharaohs of Egypt. Nigeria beat Chad 2-0 in their first game.

Interestingly, the match will be the first competitive game for both coaches – newly appointed Tanzania coach Charles Nkwasa and his Nigerian counterpart Sunday Oliseh.
