Two staff members of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) sustained injuries on Saturday, when their vehicle struck a landmine laid by suspected Boko Haram terrorists Borno.
The incident occurred in Minok, Kaga local government area, Borno state.
Security sources and a local official confirmed the development on Saturday.
The blast occurred when a team of engineers from the TCN and Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) were on their way to a site in Minok where they have working to restore electricity in Maiduguri, the Borno capital.

Maiduguri and some communities in Borno have been in darkness since January, after Boko Haram insurgents destroyed an electricity tower supplying power to the city.
The sources, speaking on the condition of anonymity, disclosed that the two staff members who sustained various degrees of injuries were evacuated to the Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) for treatment.
The sources attributed the attack to leaked pictures of the activities of the TCN officials on social media, adding that everything being carried out on the site was in the public space.
