NIMC to organise free National ID enrolment at Techonolgy Times’ business summit

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) will organise free National Identity Card enrolment at the business summit of Techonolgy Times.

The programme will hold between February 23 and February 24, at Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos.

Shina Badaru, founder of Technology Times Media Limited, said the review of identity technology, especially the National Identity Card registration programme, will be the main focus of the summit.

Badaru also said Aliyu Aziz, director general of NIMC, will deliver a keynote address at the programme.

He made this known while unveiling www.outlook.technologytimes, the official website of the organisation.

“Every year, Technology Times Outlook events brings together the largest gathering of CEOs, business and government leaders and thought leaders shaping and defining market trends in the Nigerian and West African technology ecosystem,” a statement by the company read.

“At Technology Times Outlook 2017, leaders in business and government, innovators, visionaries and frontier thinkers will come together to share perspectives and insights on the National ID programme of Nigeria and other key technology initiatives and trends that will either shape, define or disrupt Nigerian economy in the new year and beyond.

Badaru said technology and market dynamics that will shape and define the Nigerian economy, would be discussed at the programme.

“Technology Times Outlook, which made its debut in 2008, was initiated as the nation’s frontline technology thought leadership event, where ICT leaders in industry and government annually share their experiences and insights on policy, technology and market dynamics that will shape and define the Nigerian economy over the next 12 months and beyond,” Badaru said.

“I am pleased to also announce that the Technology Times Person of the Year 2016 will emerge at the #TTOulook17 dinner which is co-located with the Technology Times Person of The Year 2016 Awards & Dinner.

“The award will recognise and honour that individual that has made enduring contribution to the Nigerian ICT industry.”

He said the event would feature the launch of new tech products by Zinox Technologies.
