Passengers on board an Air Peace flight panicked on Tuesday as the aircraft lost one of its tyres while landing at Murtala Muhammed International airport in Lagos.
A source said the aircraft was returning to the country from a West African nation.
In a video posted on social media, a passenger said: “The plane crashed-landed, even the front tyre burst away. If not for the pilot, maybe the plane would have crashed. Thanks to her professional way of handling the situation.”
Henrietta Yakubu, spokeswoman of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), confirmed the incident to TheCable.

She said no life was lost, adding that the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) would soon issue a statement on the development.
The agency later tweeted about it, saying its men were on their way to the scene.
“An Air Peace flight lost a tire while landing in Lagos, no life was lost. The Bureau investigators are on the way to the site,” it tweeted.
