Some security operatrives stormed the collation center of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kuchi, Kebbe local government area of Sokoto state, on Saturday, carting away result sheets.
Kuchi is one of the areas with the highest number of voters in the supplementary election.
Aminu Tambuwal, governor of the state and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), had reportedly relocated to Kuchi in the early hours of the day, having learnt of his opponents’ plot.
TheCable learnt that the election went on smoothly in the area but after the conclusion of voting, there was a directive that the ballot papers be transferred from Kuchi to Kebbe.

However, the voters refused the move and insisted that their votes be counted at the venue.
Security operatives were said to have shot into the air to disperse the people before the result sheets were taken away.
