When the students of Federal College Of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, Igabi LGA of Kaduna state, went to bed on Thursday, they never could have envisaged that their sleep would be rudely cut short.
At midnight, the school was thrown into a state of disarray when bandits invaded the premises and abducted students and teachers.
Based on the latest figures from the Kaduna state government, 30 students including male and female are unaccounted for in the aftermath of the invasion.
Samuel Aruwan, the commissioner for internal security and home affairs, says 42 female students, eight staff, and 130 male students were successfully rescued.

The commissioner said the gunmen broke into the institution by breaching a perimeter fence.
“They then encroached about 600 meters to attack the first facility,” Aruwan said.
“The Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs on receiving a distress call, alerted the 1 Division Nigerian Army and the Air Training Command of the Nigerian Air Force.
