Africa serves as a home to the fastest, biggest and fiercest wild cats in the world. In this article I am going to talk about the amazing wild cats of Africa.

Lions:

Lions are the fiercest wild cats in the world. They are also the only ones that live in groups. They are also the only ones that have manes. Like all other cats they have retractable claws. A retractable claw is a claw that can go in and out of the animal. Lions hunt animals like buffalo and elephants. They also eat hyenas and zebras.

Cheetahs:

Cheetahs are the fastest land animals on the planet. Cheetahs can accelerate to their top speed which is 70 miles per hour in just three seconds. They are one of the few wild cats that hunt in the day. A Cheetah has black stripes at the sides of its eyes which help it reduce the amount of sunlight blocking its view and the stripes also help to keep the prey on the radar. Cheetahs tails are long, muscular and slim. They help the cheetah balance when steering at high speeds.

Tigers:
