Arsene Wenger’s greatest achievement was not the Invincibles but keeping us competitive during those lean years.
He made it look easy but it really wasn’t.

Arsene Wenger built the best teams that I played against in English Football .The 98 team was Amazing. The biggest compliment is that he played football that made us change the way we played against them. He now deserves the most incredible send off from all in the coming weeks.

21 – Arsene Wenger has defeated David Moyes on 21 occasions as Arsenal boss; more often than against any other manager. Favourite. pic.twitter.com/8Z1dr7rbWY

If Arsenal wish to uphold the proud tradition of having a manager whose name is pretty much the same as the club, hard to see past Senol Gunes replacing Arsène Wenger. If anything, the surname makes him more qualified.

The biggest compliment I can give Arsene Wenger is that at his best he was an Invincible and at his lowest, he is in the semi finals of a European competition.

The only manager in the Premier League that gave Sir Alex Ferguson a run for his money. He revolutionised the game, gave us the Invincbles, 3 PL titles, 7 FA Cups and gave us the likes of Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira, Robert Pires etc. The man is a legend. Merci Arsène Wenger. pic.twitter.com/mavfjbznFZ

1993, I started watching a Team, I didnt know the name of the team, but i knew their Goalkeeper had long hair “David Seaman”, I was later told the name of the team i fell in love with is Arsenal with Manager Arsene Wenger. Took me 7 years to realize he was not the club owner. ? pic.twitter.com/abalaDSebm

Arsene Wenger. He is not bigger than the club, but the club is bigger and what it is today because of him. #OneArseneWenger pic.twitter.com/XmUICmBtPJ

Sad to see Arsene Wenger leave the Premier League.
Looking at the possible replacements, Carlo Ancelotti is the obvious one
But, controversially, I actually think Brendan Rogers would be a good fit.
After watching the infamous documentary, he tries to play the right way

Today feels strange. Still can’t believe Arsene Wenger is leaving Arsenal.

Before feeling too sorry for Arsene Wenger he probably made cica. 150mil in his 20 odd years here. Sure he gave a lot but in return was paid handsomely and the board backed him in his last 10 years despite achieving nothing. No other club would have let Wenger get away with it.

Me on here when the Arsene Wenger eulogies turn to “So what about Brendan Rodgers at Celtic as a replacement?” pic.twitter.com/sKkrmNipq3

Arsenal will surely miss Arsene Wenger. It may hurt to see him leave but it’s the best for the team. He’s delivered what he could now it’s time for the team to challenge other big teams in England and Europe again. #MerciArsene
