Vector faults maturity of ‘certain people’ at The Headies

Popular Hip hop artiste, Olanrewaju Ogunmefun, popularly known as Vector tha Viper, says “certain people” should have acted more mature at The Headies 2015.

At the ceremony, there was a face-off between YBNL boss, Olamide Adedeji, and Mavin chief, Don Jazzy over the winner of the next rated category of the awards.

Don Jazzy and Olamide exchanged angry words over the destination of an award, and Vector, who spoke with TheCable on Tuesday, reckons the situation could have been better handled.

“Certain people should have acted mature because at the end of the day, we are all humans and we have the right to express our feelings,” said Vector, who himself won the awards for ‘Best Rap Single’ and ‘Lyricist on the Roll’ at the awards.

“If you are also wise, you should know that every action comes with a consequence.”

The musician also expressed belief that the awards were not biased, and could not be discredited on account of a single incident.

“The incident doesn’t affect the credibility of the award; the organizers couldn’t have premeditated such an occurrence,” he said.

The musician, who began his musical career in 2010, has two albums to his credit.

He released a single ‘King Kong’ in January 2015 and two remixes were released in the same year due to the success of the single.

Now, he is looking forward to the release of his third album this year.

“Fans should be expecting an album that has everything they want; it’s going to be an album for everybody,” he told TheCable.
