Aisha Buhari, wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday announced the return of Yusuf Buhari to Nigeria after his medical treatment abroad.
After thanking God for her son’s return, Aisha mentioned those who were present to rejoice with the first family.
Osagie Ehanire, minister of state for health, received Yusuf at the airport, while Abdulrahman Dambazau, interior minister, Yahaya Bello, Kogi state governor, were at the presidential villa to welcome the only son of the president.
“On landing at the airport, he was received by the minister of health (state) Dr. Osagie, while at the villa, he was welcomed by family members, wife of the vice-president, the interior minister, Yahaya Bello, governor of Kogi state, and associates,” Aisha tweeted.

Aisha had also listed Isaac Adewole, minister of health, as head of the medical team treating Yusuf while he was in Cedacrest hospital, Abuja.
While Nigerians have felicitated with the first family, they also have taken to social media to express their feelings over the public officials that received Yusuf.
Here are some of the reactions:

Minister of State for Health abandoned his duty post to receive Yusuf Buhari at the airport! The sycophancy under the Buhari government is sickening.

So Nigeria's Minister of State for Health went to the airport to receive President Buhari's son, Yusuf, after his overseas medical trip. What sort of joke has Nigeria allowed itself to become?

Good to see Yusuf Buhari back on his feat but having Ministers of Health and Interior welcome him back is a mockery on our system of government — a government of patronage, that the only way to show commitment is to show love to the first family.

While some are questioning why the minister of health will leave his duty post to receive Yusuf, others have raised the issues of the missing Dapchi schoolgirls and the health sector situation in the country.
Nigerians called on the president to secure the safe release of the girls so their parents can also smile like him upon seeing his son.

“Congratulations to him. The handsome guy cheated death. We pray the Dapchi school girls return to their parents in better shape like Yusuf. Buhari must unleash all the security apparatchiks to ensure these girls regain freedom. What is good for the goose is all good for the gander. Our prayers are with them and their parents in this trying times,” Zyd Ibn Isah wrote on Facebook.

Nigerians also took a swipe at Bello, making allusion to the governor’s declaration of a public holiday when Buhari returned from his London medical holiday in May.
George Ucheibe, a Facebook user, said “For the records, I am HAPPY that Yusuf Buhari is back. What I don’t understand is the presence of Kogi State Governor there. A governor should be in his state attending to state matters but this Yahaya Bello guy is something else.”
