The UCL is back and it’s better together… Here’s why we are super toked

The wait is finally over as the most elite and prestigious club competition, the UEFA Champions League has returned with “these are the Champions” nights echoed around Europe.

It is like having all your favourite artists on a track.. It is like hearing the top orchestras performing together on one stage. Well, now you know why fake ns go crazy for the UEFA champions league match nights.

The 2-month hiatus is over and now we are down to the business end of the competition. This year the competition is even more special to football fans in Lagos as the Heineken House is quickly becoming the place to be on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Last week we were treated to four tantalizing fixtures as Bayern taught Chelsea a football lesson, Barcelona shared the spoils with Napoli, Lyon pulled off a surprise victory against Juventus, and Man City came from behind to win at Real Madrid.

This year the competition is proving that there are no underdogs, no favourites. At every contest, the odds are simultaneously for and against both teams. Every match night is like a Shakespearean poem being drafted, the lyrics and stanzas will forever be echoed even after the blast of the final whistle. Well, now you know why fans make strange adjustments to their busy schedules so as to participate in making history.

Speaking of busy schedules, the biggest conundrum for UCL lovers is how to catch the games while keeping with work schedules and of course, Lagos’ horrendous traffic situation. A smart way to work around this headache is to catch the UCL games at the Heineken House, Ikoyi. With a stellar ambience, great music, and of course, the awesome Heineken beer, it really is the perfect way to enjoy the games.
Also, playing off the “Better Together” theme of this year’s UCL campaign, Heineken® has lined up some lit activities to get fans super stoked as the competition swings into the final stages.

Sixteen European giants are left in the round of 16 stages of the UEFA champions league 2019/2020 season knockout stages scheduled to return next week.

Can Chelsea pull off a miracle in Munich, or will Madrid overturn the tie in Manchester?

These and more are set to be on display when the Knock-out matches returns next week, and you can expect to find us at the Heineken House, bantering, and enjoying the games over cold glasses of everyone’s favourite beer.
