TheCable to launch ‘Our Two Kobo’ podcast on April 14

Cable Newspaper Ltd, publisher of TheCable online newspaper, will on April 14 kick off its new podcast — ‘Our Two Kobo’.

The podcast will feature conversations on “all matters that matter”– politics, business, development, sports, entertainment, lifestlye, hot gists, career growth and many more issues.

The hosts will treat listeners to captivating, educational, entertaining and witty conversations around trending and controversial stories on everyday life and social issues across Nigeria — as well as the international scene.

Guests and experts will also be featured on the podcast to give indepth analysis and explainers where and when necessary.

Speaking on the launch, Kolapo Olapoju, editor of TheCable Newspaper, said there is no better time to key into the rising popularity of podcasts in a bid to connect with, and satisfy the yearnings of a wider range of audience.

Olapoju said: “TheCable is constantly evolving and stretching its tentacles to accommodate and deliver on emerging trends of news dissemination, hence the birth of ‘Our Two Kobo’.

“Audiences all over the world are increasingly gravitating towards audio, and we have several projects along this line to connect with them.

“In line with our policies and objectives, the podcast will focus on educating, informing and entertaining our audience — of course with a dose of TheCable touch.”

The audience of ‘Our Two Kobo’ will be presented with a wide array of listening options as episodes will air twice a month on some of the top streaming platforms, including Apple Podcast, Spotify, Souncloud and Google Podcast.

The maiden episode of the podcast will be in homage to the 2014 Chibok girls abduction and the activists who fought to make the national tragedy unforgettable.

The podcast will be hosted by TheCable’s Jemilat Nasiru ,’Jam Jam’ and Femi Owolabi, ‘The Honourable’.
