The federal government says it is committed to reducing environmental waste and fostering a circular economy to support sustainable development.
Balarabe Lawal, minister of environment, spoke in Abuja on Monday at a sensitisation workshop for the federal capital territory (FCT) judiciary on circular economy.
The workshop sought to enhance judicial officers’ understanding of the circular economy, examine legal frameworks, and identify strategies to promote sustainability.
Represented by Bahijjahtu Abubakar, director of pollution control and environmental health, the minister said the workshop was timely and essential.
